The New Normal: The Politics of Parenting

October 9, 2016 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Write on Mamas and the Mill Valley library are proud to be a part of the 2016 Litquake Festival!

There’s a new “normal” in the 21st century. Today’s families are blended, adoptive, and multi-cultural. They include parents from a variety of backgrounds and children with a variety of special talents and needs. Can we make America great again by raising our kids to be compassionate and independent? Jeremy Adam Smith (Are We Born Racist) moderates this stellar panel of experts: Joshua Gamson (Modern Families: Stories of Extraordinary Journeys to Kinship), Julie Lythcott-Haims (How to Raise an Adult), Erica Reischer (What Great Parents Do), and Anne K. Ross (Beyond Rain Man).
